After two hard-fought battles in EuroLeague, Olimpia went down in Sassari 90-69 playing with no energy while losing control in the second half. Milan started the game well but when Sassari raised the intensity and began going aggressively to the rim, Olimpia didn’t have the strenght to respond. The foul shots disparity plagued the game all night long. “Clearly it was too much for us at this time – Coach Pianigiani said after the game – we should have stayed in the game longer but we made some silly mistakes and right from the beginning we missed a lot of the shots we normally makes. When they hit the knock-out punch I preferred to distribute the minutes among everybody because we need everybody. What we don’t have to accept is to let the margin increase like that.
