Nikola Mirotic was named the EuroLeague Round 34 MVP after his performance against Baskonia in which he had a personal rating of 40, scored 23 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, three of them offensive, hit 3 of 4 three-pointers, 5 of 8 two-pointers, was perfect, 4-for-4, from the line and dished three assists. Mirotic had been Round MVP eight times during his career, but this is the first time he has done so with Olimpia. The rating of 40 is his new career-high as well as the third-best performance ever for an Olimpia player after Samardo Samuels’ 47 in 2015 and Shavon Shields’ 41 in 2021

Before him, Olimpia players who were named Round MVPs have been: Mike Hall (2008/09), Omar Cook (2011/12), Curtis Jerrells (2013/14), Alessandro Gentile and Samardo Samuels (2014/15), Jamel McLean and Ricky Hickman (2015/16), Mike James (2018/19), Shavon Shields (twice, in 2020/21 and 2023/24), Nicolò Melli and Brandon Davies (2022/23), Maodo Lo (2023/24), Zach LeDay (three times this season).

Nikola Mirotic finished the EuroLeague season with a 22.0 personal rating, third-best behind Sasha Vezenkov and TJ Shorts. He was also the competition’s fifth-best scorer with 17.7 points per game. He was also the fifth-best defensive rebounder (4.5) and sixth overall as a rebounder (6.4). He was also seventh in fouls drawn (4.9 per game), second in free throws made (5.0 on average, 89.3 percent accuracy). This season he also surpassed 4,000 career points, the sixth to do so, and in the last round he became the tenth-best rebounder in history.
