Mike James set in Istanbul his new career-high with 31 points, replacing the 27 points that he scored for Panathinaikos, last season, in a game against Maccabi Tel Aviv. His record in Milan was 26. His scoring outburst represents the third best scoring performance by an Olimpia player in the EuroLeague, behind Samardo Samuels’ 36 points and Luca Vitali’s 32. It’s the fourth time that an Olimpia player scores at least 30 points. Curtis Jerrells had 30 last season in Valencia. He also set his new index rating record with 33 and obviously he’s never scored 20 points in one period, the last one. James’ 31 equal the most scored by a single player against Fenerbahce since the 2014/15 season. Nemanja Nedovic did just the same last season with Unicaja Malaga. Fenerbahce is 54-12 at hone during the last five seasons and is 5-0 during this campaign.

Mike James has had eight “20 points or more” games so far. He surpassed 1.000 points scored for his career during the game in Podgorica; he surpassed the 100 threes made for his career against Real Madrid; he’s also riding a 16-game streak with at least one three, a 19-game streak of double digit scoring and he had at least five assists in each of the last 12 EuroLeague games. He set his personal best of 12 assists in one game, against CSKA, tying the club’s record too. Right now, he is among the top 10 in nine individual categories.

This is the club’s record for most points scored by a single player during a EuroLeague game (fifth place is shared by three players, Linas Kleiza, Alessandro Gentile and Keith Langford who had 29 three times).
