Trent Meacham is in Milano and now he’ll have to pass his physicals waiting for the official preseason practices to start. He came via Los Angeles along his wife Theresa, a former top player whose brother Kevin was Trent’s teammate in Nanterre. Meacham has played for Illinois, then he went to Austria, Germany and France where he won the championship in Nanterre and also made his Euroleague debut.
MILANO – “I’m happy to be hare. I’ve been told great things about the club, the team, the city, my new teammates so I can’t wait to get started”.
HIS PLAY – “I’m a versatile player, I can play a couple of positions and I know I’m a good leader. How I’ll watch what I need to do to fit and help the team win more basketball games”:
COLLEGE – “I’m born and raised in Champaign where the the local university is based. So the opportunity to play there was fantastic; I was able to play in front of my friends and parents. It was a great experience”.
THE ORIGIN – “I used to play basketball for fun, I never throught about playing professionally untile after my college career. Then I thought about playing overseas a couple of years before going back home. Now I’m enjoying this great opportunity and trying to get the best out of it”.
FRANCE – “Living and playing in France was great. I was in a city very close to Paris and both me and my wife enjoyed the experience. But now we were excited to make a new experience and this is what we are looking for in Milano. We are excited”.
HIS WIFE – “Basketball is not a hot topic of discussion in my house but my wife was a very good player. Actually she was a lot better than me. Now she’s retired but helps me out.
