Olimpia closed its preseason with a win in Cremona, 84-80, preserved by a couple of crucial plays by Andrew Goudelock. He made the go-ahead long jumper, grabbed the defensive rebound that Vanoli was forced to foul. Ge then made both ensuing free throws to clinch the game. Olimpia played an unusual 13-player rotations and for the first time was able to feature Cinciarini, Cusin, Bertans and Abass. Cremona started the game on fire making five threes in a 28-point first period. Olimpia had its moments. It had 20 turnovers at the end, looked dominating in the second period and early in the third before losing a little control every now and then. Pianigiani used several new cofigurations starting the game with three small players or implementing a two-point guards lineup and again a three-headed center. Goudelock was the closer but Cory Jefferson did a tremendous job in a 15-point first half with no misses. He finished his best regular season game with 21 points and 4 threes. Dairis Bertans connected 4 threes out of 5 attempts looking very sharp from the arc.
