Olimpia doesn’t miss a beat: game 2 is pretty much like game 1 but this time out the show lasts for the entire 40 minutes. EA7 doesn’t blink, six players score in double figure, the game is spectacular, Kristjan Kangur and CJ Wallace play an impressive game and it’s 91-77 against Maccabi (who lost Schortsanitis in the first half because of an injury), tying up the series. Great night inside the Forum, 12.331 people attended the show, another sold-out game, a memorable offensive performance and a solid execution defensively. Tel-Aviv is now just around the corner, on Monday, for game 3.

THE FIRST HALF – Olimpia looks very inspired early, goes up 9-2 and 12-5 with five quick points by Keith Langford. Maccabi keeps up because three times in a row score with three-pointers (Ohayon and Bluthenthal) or three-point play (Schortsanitis). In the middle of the first, the lead has been reduced to three points, 14-11, with Wallace replacing Melli. CJ scores on a steal, Moss does just the same, Olimpia defensively is strong and extends the lead 23-15. Moss completes a spectacular first period with a steal and an assist for the Keith Langford’s dunk pushing EA7 up 25-15. At the end of the first is 25-18 Olimpia in spite of Wallace being sanctioned with early fouls. In the second Olimpia finds the plays for Kangur who completes a three-point play and scores on a short hook. Moss commits his second foul, Jerrells scores five points in a row. Both teams get in the penalty early. With three minutes left, Lawal makes two foul shots for the 39-30 lead. Maccabi tries to get closer with a short jump by Alex Tyus and one offensive board by Tyus, but the answer comes in form of two threes, one from the left corner by Kangur and another from the very same spot by Cerella for a 45-34 lead. Kangur again controls an offensive board and scores, Lawal erases everything defensively and it’s 47-34 Olimpia at the half.

THE SECOND HALF – Langford, Moss and Kangur with three quick threes to start the third push Olimpia up by 15, 56-41. Moss, playing like a demon, scores from mid-range and then gets fouled by Blu. The biggest lead is 17, 58-41. A technical called on Coach Luca Banchi after two fouls sanctioned to Samuels and Jerrells, both trying to take charge, allows Maccabi to place a 5-0 run. Samuels then goes to work down low, goes to the line often, makes four foul shots in a row and keep Olimpia up 63-49 with 1’48” left in the third. Ingles makes a three, Blu (very long two and a free throw) help Maccabi getting within eight, 63-55. Kangur grabs an offensive board and assists Jerrells for the long three closing the third at 66-55. To start the fourth, Jerrells makes a steal and launches Melli for a thunderous dunk. Wallace responds to a Blu’s three with one of his own. Jerrells extends the lead to 16 with 7’18” to play. The margin blows up to 18 twice, the last one after a terrific dunk by Jerrells beating the halfcourt defense. But Maccabi is still there. A midcourt steal producing a Landesberg basket and with 3’38” to play the lead shrinks to 10. Rice tries to get even closer with a three but Lawal steps out on the perimeter and blocks his attempt, Moss grabs the rebound, gets fouled and makes two free  throws: 83-71. Then it’s Wallace again to score from downtown and Olimpia, led by Jerrells, finishes the job convincingly.
