It was a beautiful win for Olimpia in Kaunas. In spite of being short-handed (Rakim Sanders returned by under minutes restriction and far from being 100%), Olimpia played with a lot of courage, responded to a difficult start and to foul troubles winning 88-84 before a sold-out arena. Five players scored in double-figure with McLean and Cinciarini leading with 17 points and Ricky Hickman having a sensational third quarter. He scored all his 16 points in the second half. In the end Awudu Abass clinched the game making his free throws to preserve a lead built with a huge Cinciarini’s three. Olimpia had to protect players, energy and fouls, used also a big line-up with Pascolo at the 3 position and deservedly broke the road games losing streak.
