It was another offensive masterpiece for Olimpia in Istanbul and another road win. 98-92 was the final score but Milan led from wire to wire with the exception of the last third quarter possession when Darussafaka took a brief 1-point lead. Olimpia responded with a Curtis Jerrells’ three and a Arturas Gudaitis three-point play to start a commanding fourth quarter that saw the margin blowing up to 11 points at one juncture. Darussafaka never gave up and was able to use a 8-0 run to get back within two. Olimpia responded one more time with a Bertans’ three and two foul shots each for Mike James and Vlado Micov. Four players scored in double figure led by Mike James’ 21 points and Micov’s 20 but many more contributed including Jerrells, Cinciarini and Burns that allowed Coach Simone Pianigiani to overcome the enormous foul troubles experienced by the two centers Gudaitis (11 games in double digit in a row now) and Tarczewski. Finally Nemanja Nedovic returned after a three-game absence and scored 17 points in 15 minutes making four threes before missing one.
