Ettore Messina has stepped down as Olimpia Milan’s Head Coach , the team announced today. This decision was made in agreement with President Leo Dell’Orco, thus anticipating the transition to Peppe Poeta, who takes on the Head Coach position.
Ettore Messina will continue to be part of the organization in his management role, ensuring continuity and expertise within the club thanks to the experience that he gained over the years.
President Leo Dell’Orco stated: “I would like to express my sincere thanks to Ettore Messina for the successes we achieved together, from the Italian championships we won, to the Italian Cups and Super Cups, as well as reaching the EuroLeague Final Four in 2021. With the same belief, I wish all the best to Peppe Poeta, confident that he will lead the team with passion and determination.”
