Olimpia was ice-cold from the perimeter especially during the first half, but managed to stay in control of its game against Brescia and finally made the decisive run in the fourth quarter when Pippo Ricci scored 12 points, one less than the entire Brescia team. 76-62 was the final score. Defense and rebounding (Nicolò Melli had a career-high 14) allowed Olimpia to stay in control, then Alviti entered the game in the third quarter, made two threes, found Melli inside and gave the team some rhythm. Gigi Datome took the baton from him and Ricci completed te job. Ben Bentil had also an outstanding game coming off the bench to score 14 points. The scoring was very well shared among all the players. Coach Ettore Messina decided to rest Sergio Rodriguez and Kyle Hines, kept Troy Daniels on the sideline and used the bench extensively. Kaleb Tarczewski also did a great job inside. “Defense kept us going – Messina said at the end -, because we couldn’t really hit a shot. Fortunately, Alviti first, Datome and Ricci later scored the ball when it mattered the most and we won.” Olimpia improved to 11-0 in the Italian league.
