Curtis Jerrells took the mosta important shot of the season so far and he made it. With a very long two-point shot to beat the buzzer by “The Big Chest”, Olimpia won Game 6 of the Italian league finals 74-72 bringing the series back to the Mediolanum Forum for Game 7, to be played in Friday at 8.30 pm. With the back to the wall, Olimpia responded with a very solid game, leading most of the time, defending well, controlling the boards, using all the intensity necessary to win a crucial road game. EA7 took also a commanding 11-point lead late in the third but the fourt quarter was a struggle because Siena got on fire with MarQuez Haynes and during the last five minutes the crowd was really back its team. But even when Siena took the lead, Olimpia kept its poise, defending, executing. Curtis Jerrells took over in the end, first with a big drive and then with the winning shot. Keith Langford was instrumental defensively over Matt Janning on top of  his early scoring barrage. Gani Lawal had almost a double double sustaining the middle when Samardo Samuels was affected by early foul troubles. Nicolò Melli had a crucial second half making two huge threes and getting a couple a critical rebounds. But the hero was Alessandro Gentile, who came up with a 23-point big night with some monumental plays especially in the third quarter, including a thunderous dunk in traffic. He also had 7 boards.
