Cory Jefferson, who will make his debut in Europe during the imminent season, talked about himself and his story. Here is the interview.
About his college experience at Baylor – “It was a great experience, especially winning the NIT and doing it at Madison Square Garden in New York, a place where everyone wants to play, a special building to play as a collegian or as a pro.”
He was the last player chosen in the NBA draft – “It was a relief to be selected. Fortunately the NBA it’s different from football where the draft lasts two days, I did not have to wait that long. In the end it was a joy” .
The NBA – “It was a great experience, I played with so many veterans and I learned a lot especially when I was playing at a fast pace. I learned how to handle myself on and off the court”.
The D-League – “It allowed me to expand my game, to do different things, to stay on the court even after making a couple of mistakes. This is what the D-League is all bout: get down to develop your game, play more freely.”
The Philippines – “I enjoyed it, they allowed me to expand my offensive game, focus on some defensive aspects, but above all they play an offensive game I was not used to play.”
Olimpia Milan – “I will be part of an organization accustomed to win a lot and my goal is to continue to do so, more and more.”
Its game – “I’m an inside-outside player, I can go down, defend against big players, block some shots, but at the same time I can also open up the floor.”
