One of those nights. Olimpia couldn’t buy an outside shot, went 2 for 21 from threes and lost to Brescia 73-65. It was the first loss of the season, all games included. It was a tough night, Olimpia struggled early, came back in the second, took the lead in the third period, but at that particular time, while defensively the efficiency was still good, the offense couldn’t score to save the life for the team. When Brescia hit three consecutive three-pointers closed the gap, took the lead again and never relinquished it. “The statistic I always look is the assists/turnovers ratio. They were better than us, they moved the ball a little bit better, they made some outside shots. Tonight our game was not adequate, we could win it anyway, but they were better and deserved the win. We need to keep working, I don’t want to hear anything else, players missing or pressure,” Coach Ettore Messina said. Michael Roll led all the scorers with 19 points, Shelvin Mack added 14. Kaleb Tarczewski also had 14 points. But nobody could score from the perimeter. Rodriguez, Mack and Moraschini combined for 0-for-14, Roll was 2-for-6 in spite of being the most efficient scorer tonight. “I’m not here to judge individual performances – Messina said – let’s say we all played a bad game and lost.”
