Olimpia left for Strasbourg this morning. On Friday it’ll finish the Euroleague regular season. EA7 Emporio Armani is already qualified for the Top 16 but it can clinch the second place with a win or an Efes loss against Real Madrid. The team left without Momo Tourè, who is sick, and David Chiotti,
Coach Luca Banchi had this to say: “We face a Strasbourg team who won the last two home games and will be willing to close the Euroleague participation on an high note. Strasbourg is a team with a great balance between the perimeter guys and the inside one. We already achieved our goal of moving to the Top 16 but we want to keep our consistency up while approaching a very competitive last portion of the year. We’ll have Gigli and Knagur to give us more options inside”.
Nicolò Melli: “We already accomplished our first goal but this is a game we need to approach seriously like every other game because it’s a Euroleague game and an opportunity to improve”.
