Coach Luca Banchi addressed the media after the win in Munich: “We have to congratulate both teams because the game was very intense. We knew that Bayern is capable to play with great intensity and we did the same. Our approach was phenomenal, we were impressive, imposing our game plan and the tempo. But playing 40 minutes against Bayern in difficult: they are physical, they press the ball, they have so many different options, offensively and defensively. In the end we won by relying on our defense and because of our charcater. Maybe we weren’t consistent but we were tough. Still, in this group every win is a huge one”.
