Another bad EuroLeague night for Olimpia in Barcelona. The worst offense of the season, statistically speaking, with slightly over 70 points per game on average needed just 30 minutes to reach 72. While Olimpia’s defense, the worst in numerical terms, didn’t do nothing to erase that feeling. Barcelona controlled the game right from the start, making threes especially with Petteri Koponen, dominating the boards and using Ante Tomic size and scoring ability to destroy Olimpia’s defense. Olimpia didn’t have its best shooter, Kruno Simon, because of back spasms that sidelined him the last two days. Rakim Sanders was the only one playing with some semblance of consistency while any kind of effort put up by the other players was meaningless in a night like this. He scored 27 points. Barcelona won the game easily 89-75.
