A classic Olimpia night, for strong hearts, a night for the lions, epic, that will go down in history, an unexpected, incredible, well-deserved 88-87 over Olympiacos, practically leading in the score for 40 minutes out of 40, answering to everything thrown by the opponent. With four-fifths of the supposed starting line-up missing, with the return of Marko Guduric but the unavailability of Josh Nebo and Nate Sestina, Olimpia played with incredible defensive focus and discipline, grabbing rebounds to make up for their physical and size deficiencies with monstrous intensity. Then Olimpia attacked surgically in the first half, using even Bryant Dunston (10 points on 5-of-5 from the field) and in the second half, when energy was waning as was inevitable, it found some toughshots from Quinn Ellis – two step-back threes in a row – and also from Leandro Bolmaro, who had a monster game on both ends of the floor, a giant under the boards (eight rebunds grabbed for the second consecutive time). Olimpia managed to “eliminate” Olympiacos’ centers from the game, Nikola Milutinov and his offensive rebounds were uneffective, forcing the Piraeus team to finish the game with Vezenkov and a terrific Alec Peters. Olimpia went small too, using Ricci and Bolmar as nominal 4 and 5, and won.

While Quinn Ellis led the team in scoring with 16 (and five assists), it was a monumental team effort. Armoni Brooks made a huge three at the end of the first half, extending the lead to a more adequate four points entering the second half. He finshed with 15 points. Leandro Bolmaro struggled to hit his customary mid-range jump shot but managed to make a huge three in the second half, closed the game with nine points and eight rebounds. Bryant Dunston had a 10-point first half and Devin Booker took the baton from him adding 13. But everybody, Pippo Ricci sacrifice at the defensive end of the court, Nico Mannion made some huge shots and Stefano Tonut was simply great at the defensive end. It was an incredible game and a huge win. Olympiacos came back through the end, Milano managed to force a miss three by Vezenkov to tie the game and the last three by Tyler Dorsey came when the game was over, 88-87
