A terrible shooting night (40.0% on twos, 3 of 19 from three-point range, all of them in the first) left Olimpia with no way out in Munich. The final score was 64-53. After a somewhat promising first half, which ended with a five-point lead, with momentum in its favor, a seven-point advantage at the start of the second half, Olimpia lost control of the game, became tentative and inefficient. In the long run with no scoring punch to rely on, Olimpia left Bayern off the hook and as soon as Baldwin, Mike and Lucic scored a few baskets, there was no way to get the game back. Too many turnovers (15), many of which were unforced, a pointless domination of the rebound (47 to 38) were factors but, in the end, it was the shooting percentages that decided the game. For a while the misses were essentially on open shots, then gradually Bayern gained confidence in its own halfcourt, became aggressive and Olimpia was unable to do anything else.
