It was a great battle, with a lot of lead changes up until the last minutes when Gentile scored the tying mid-jumper. But in the end Olympiacos was more experienced and better in the execution. Vassilis Spanoulis made a huge corner two, out of balance, and Georgios Printezis scored the winning basket beating the foul and capping a devstating fourt quarter. 71-66 Olympiacos was the final score. Olimpia fought througout the game, had even a six-point lead in the fourth, riding another Gentile’s impressive effort. The Cap scored 24 points and was unresolvable for Olympiacos’ tough and physical defense. Olimpia was unlucky too. Without Cinciarini with a broken nose, Charles jenkins had foul trouble early and McLean had a slight back injury before the game. He tried in both the first and third quarter but couldn’t give enough.
