In the first half Olimpia trailed by as many as 26 points, several times. At the half, it trailed by 23 because of a Zach LeDay’s late three. But in the second half, it managed to come back quickly and with seven minutes left in the game, a three made by Armoni Brooks shrank the deficit to one single point. Momentum was in Olimpia’s favor. But the energy used both mentally and physically to come back into the game was too much. Eventually, Olimpia allowed a three-point play to Amath M’Baye and another one to Naidr Hifi. Paris Basketball regained some confidence and closed with a 103-93 win. “We didn’t change nothing in the second half. The game plan stayed the same, that makes me mad because the difference was in the attitude. Our first half was horrendous. The second half was much better, but at this level you have got to play 40 minutes, not 20. 20 is never enough It wasn’t tonight, too,” Coach Peppe Poeta said. Paris Baskteball scored 64 points in the first half, shooting 79 percent on twos and 50 percent on threes. Olimpia turned the ball over 11 times allowing easy fast break points, easy one on one field goals, open threes. In the second half everything changed. Olimpia forced turnovers, lowered Paris’ shooting percentages and was sharper offensively. Armoni Brooks finished with 20 points, Josh Nebo has 12 points and seven rebounds.
