One week ago Olimpia came back from 25 points down to win over Darussafaka. This time it was on the wrong side of another huge rally when it saw a 19-point first hald lead erased in the second half. Efes came back and tied it up with nine minutes left in the game. Olimpia responded again, going up by eight bit it didn’t keep the lead. It made some silly mistakes and lost the game 90-86 in spite of a very good and very unlucky outing. Olimpia led for 39 minutes, Efes took the lead only in the last minute. A couple of possessions went in the Efes’ directons. Give Efes credit because they had a huge third period making seven thress out of nine attempts. Olimpia was incredible, absorbing the hit and still leading after threes, with Kruno Simon available but severely plagued by back spasms. Rakim Sanders had a huge game, scoring 16 points and usign his two-way game, inside and outside. He even put his hands on the last offensive rebound opportunity after Kalnietis intentionally missed a free throw down by two. But Rakim couldn’t control the ball and take a potentially-tying shot. Most of the plyers gave their best and contribute, even is some mistakes cost the game, some turnovers or missed fastbreak opportunities. Sanders scored 16 points, Kalnietis had 15 and Dragic was 4 for 5 from the field. It hurt a lot.
