Coach Simone Pianigiani talked about the upcoming EuroLeague game in Kaunas. “Zalgiris is one of the best EuroLeague teams for consistency, results and personality. Probably they play with the biggest amount of energy of the entire competition and they use it even more at home because of their terrific home-court. It’s a very dangerous opponent because of the match-ups for us. But it’s crucial to absorb the impact they will have on the game. We want to resist, to send a message to ourselves, gain respect and increase our solidity. To stay competitive in Kaunas, we will have to play an above average game, rebounding wise, we will have to limit turnovers to keep them from running and stay with the shooters on exits because those are key options for them. They have more pounds position by position but we can have ball movement and fluidity to overcome this”.
