Coach Simone Pianigiani talked at the end of the EuroLeague win over Valencia: “I’m proud of my guys. They deserved to win, because they never stopped believing in our work. We had a terrific start of the season, winning the Italian Supercup and playing even against the best teams in Europe. We basically had one bad game, last week against Kaunas. But we responded and in the second half we were able to play a tough defensive game holding them to 10-fourth quarter points, going over the screens, resisting one on one. We also played a smart game against the disparity in free throws. It doesnt change much but it’s more energy for everybody in the face of adversities like losing Bertans during the last practice and Goudelock during the game”.
