Coach Simone Pianigiani talked today about the upcoming EuroLeague game that Olimpia will play against Efes on Friday night: “Efes’ roster has been built for the top level. Right now they have the most efficient offense in the entire EuroLeague along CSKA Moscow. Their pick and roll execution is the most effective so far because their perimeter players are capable to score at will. They are consistently using a 4-man capable to stretch the floor and attack individually. So basically they use four players to stretch the floor and one center with the ability to attack the rim, like Dunston with his elevation and strength or Pleiss with size and length. Statistically they are better than us in all the offensive categories, their three-point shooting has been surreal so far. In order to compete we’ll need an extra effort both physically and mentally. We need to keep their shooting percentages under control and be mentally ready to keep our poise when they are going to score at a high rate like they did even against Fenerbahce. We have a lot of confidence but we are also aware of the improvements that we have to do starting on Friday”.
