A masterpiece it wasn’t in terms of consistency throughout the game but Olimpia led basically wire to wire and was never threatened by Venezia, a team who was unbeaten before coming to Milano. 80-71 was the final score and didn’t reflect what was seen on the court. EA7 led by more than 20 points in the second half, riding Samardo Samuels dominating performance into the lane and David Moss defensive pressure on Phil Goss. The defense was oustanding, the consistency was not there but Alessandro Gentile had 6 assists, Kleiza scored in double figure again and MarShon Brooks showed more confidence in his outside shots making three threes including a huge buzer beater at the end of the third. Olimpia is 3-0 in the league before embarking on a two-game road trip in Avellino and Reggio Emilia.
