Olimpia is not consistent enough in Belgrade, loses 100-89

Olimpia’s game in Belgrade was not consistent, solid or tough enough to procure a win. Milan tried many times to comeback and every time fell short because it wasn’t able to make the necessary defensive stops or control the defensive boards to sustain an excellent offensive game. Olimpia shot over 60% from two and over 50% from three-point distance and had to regret only the many foul shots missed especially in the third quarter. Red Star won 100-89 with six players scoring in double figure. It also grabbed 14 offensive rebounds with Mathias Lessort closing the game with a double double. Olimpia was led by Kuzminskas’ 17 points, Goudelock added 16. “The game story is very simple – Coach Simone Pianigiani said at the end – We were coming off two straight road wins but both against Spanish teams. We are comfortable playing a certain type of basketball but in order to win in Belgrade we have to be more consistent, more solid. We were neither, we couldn’t resist inside and we lost”.
