It was another loss and this time there’s no consolation in the way Olimpia lost. Unlike in the Fenerbahce game of last week, in Moscow the game followed a tragic script. It was never close, it was never good. CSKA controlled it early and Olimpia never had a chance. It was a bad game not because the margin and the story it didn’t have, but because the whole team played with no passion in the first half and after a timid attempt of reducing the margin in the third, led by Simon, Macvan and Cinciarini, in the fourth Olimpia returned to its bad habits opposing no resistance. So the final score was a humiliating 101-64 that reflected exactly what we saw on the court.
