For 29 minutes Olimpia was able to stay with Olympiacos, responding every time. Then the pshysicality of the greek team took over. In the second half the rebounding advantage was huge and Olimpia gradually lost control of the game. There was a crucial sequence late in the third when Olimpia was within three and on a break. There was a turnover and then two threes by Erick Green to extend the lead to nine entering in the fourth. Olimpia was not able to get back in the game. Olympiacos led by as many as 17 points and still the team responded, fought through the end, there was a significant run playing with a very small lineup that fetured Davide Pascolo as nominal center (he finished the game blocking a Spanoulis’ jumper). Because of that, Olimpia reduced the margin to ten, losing 91-81. Four players scored in double figure, Olimpia never gave up and hd the right attitude so it was a road game to build on.
