Olimpia fought back from nine points down in the first quarter to take the game over and defeated Sassari 73-60 earning a berth in the Cagliari Tournament tomorrow night against Khimki. Olimpia struggled with turnovers, but dominated the boards 41-28 and made 15 threes out of 30. Sergio Rodriguez had an amazing game, making six threes, but he was sustained by Ricky Moraschini and Andrea Cinciarini, who combined for six more. In the fourth quarter, Sassari came back from nine down to within one. While the defense held the forth, Aaron White made a critical three after Moraschini ‘s dagger from the corner and Shelvin Mack closed the game with another three. Olimpia played with a short rotation of nine guys, had a lot of foul trouble that limited Aaron White and  Kaleb Tarczewski especially, but somehow Coach Messina was able to use his guys and Olimpia finished on a high note.
