Olimpia exploded in the third quarter and turned an 8-point deficit into a commanding lead that eventually became an 89-71 win over Cantù in spite of playing without Rakim Sanders. Olimpia finished with 23 wins, one more than a year ago, confirmed the 14-1 home record and now waits for the playoffs to start next Friday. “The third period was when we played the right way with a dominating defensive effort. We are not in great shape and we need to be aware of that. By approaching the games well we’ll improve along the course. Otherwise we’ll face a lot of problems”, Coach Repesa said at the end.
