A masterpiece it was not but Olimpia played with more energy and sense of urgency in a 82-78 win over Pesaro. It started on a great note getting up 10-0 and forcing an early time-out but the initial effort wasn’t sustained on a long haul. Pesaro found a terrific first half by Jevhon Shepherd and came back strong. “Then we let Austin Daye getting confident and using his enormous talent. He created a lot of problems”, Coach Repesa admitted. Daye used quickness and length to get foos shots and led Pesaro to an 8-point lead in the second half. Here Milano responded with energy and a corrected defense. It crashed the offensive boards with Batista and Sanders and finally McLean made a couple of great defensive plays. The steal over Daye that generated a solitary dunk was the winning one. Simon and Batista led the team both scoring over 20 points. Sanders emerged kn the second half with his aggressiveness. Olimpia returned to the winning habit.after two losses and now it’s win away from clinching the regular season first place.
