With six seconds left in an incredible game for the ages, Curtis Jerrells was fouled while attacking the rim and made two free throws giving Olimpia a one-point 91-90 lead. But six seconds are an awful lot of time: Trento executed the coast-to-coast almost to a prefection, putting the ball in Dominique Sutton hands right under the rim. He was going to score at the buzzer but Andrew Goudelock in the best LeBron James’ impersonation took off from the side, timed perfectly the jump and block the shot. The player known for his scoring ability, the same player that moments before scored an highly-difficult turnaround jump shot in the paint, won the game with a defensive effort both unexpected and heroic. Olimpia now leads the best-of-seven series 3-2. Game 6 is in Trento on Friday Night.

Olimpia led most of the game, had another explosive first-quarter, led by as many as 11 points in the first half when Trento took the lead at the buzzer with a step-back three by Sutton. In the third, Trento led by as many as six points early but Olimpia responded and lately led a couple of time by eight points with Cinciarini and Micov assisting everybody and Gudaitis killing inside, well supported by a solid, all-around game by Mindaugas Kuzminskas. Shavon Shields with a 23-point second half led the rally, scored at will and his last contested, incredible three gave Trento the lead 90-89. This set the table for a couple of great heroisms: first, Jerrells attacked the middle and was ice-cold from the line, then Goudelock blocked Sutton’s attempt at the buzzer while both Cinciarini and Shields had fouled out.
