It was a loss and Olinpia will have to address what went wrong in the second half but the goal in Moscow was to earn respect and credibility and in that regard the mission was accomplished. Olimpia took a 16-point lead in the second period and played brilliantly while leading over CSKA on several times even in the fourth. Moscow used its depth, Olimpia’s foul trouble with both point guards and the centers, its talent to get away in the last five minutes on its way to a 93-84 win. There are no moral victories in the EuroLeague but this is a matter of credibility ana confidence booster. Goudelock, Micov, Bertans and Gudaitis scored in double digit. Tarczewski had a very inspiring game against the CSKA’s big men experience and the creativity of its guards to go along Clyburn and Higgins efficiency from the outside.
