In the end Jan Vesely’s offensive rebounds made the difference. Olimpia struggled against Fenerbahce’s size everywehere on the court, had too many turnovers and trailed most of the game. But it never gave up, kept pushing and on different moments was able to get very close. But when it was on the verge of getting ahead it was always something to prevent that. A couple of missed free throws, a couple of costly turnovers, an open three-pointer or simply a missed rebound. Olimpia was capable to hold Andrew Goudelock in single digit, but late in the fourth when it was time to make a final push, Vesely grabbed two offensive board and converted them into the decisive points. Fenerbahce won 82-71, a margin wider than it’s been during the course of a very tough, close game. Olimpia is now 1-3 in the Top 16, Fenerbahce is 2-2. MarShon Brooks scored 24 points.
