Here we go: it’s Cinciarini’s Day


Pallacanestro Olimpia EA7 Emporio Armani Milano agreed on terms Andrea Cinciarini, coming from Reggio Emilia where he won the 2014 Eurochallenge and reached the Italian League finals in the last season. Cinciarini signed a multiyear contract.

WHO’S CINCIARINI – Born on June, 21, in 1986, in Cattolica, Cinciarini is a  1.93 mt point-guard, whose father, Franco was a nice player in the 70s for Pesaro and Cremona. Andrea grew up in Pesaro’s youth system, made his debuted in 2003/04 and then played again in Pesaro in the third league, Senigallia and finally in Pistoia, in Legadue. In 2007/08 he played for Montegranaro in Serie A, then was loaned to Pavia in Legadue and returned to Montegranaro until 2011. In the summer of 2011 he was signed by Cantù and made his Euroleague debut. The following year he moved to Reggio Emilia and collected the best statistics of his life: 12.3 points per game in 2013, 12.4 in 2014 and 10.3 in 2014/15 season playing 48 games. The last two years he won the assists crown in the Italian league.

NOTES – His brother Daniele Cinciarini is a Serie A player for Pistoia… Andrea has participated in the last two European Championship editions and will play in the 2015 edition… He played once in the Mediaterranean Games… He played last season’s Eurocup averaging 5.2 assists per game… He wears with number 20 and he is married with Alessia.
