A tough road game with eight players available and another great effort. Olimpia stood up to everything: fatigue, a bad start, the huge Walter Hodge’s first period (he had 12 points then 4 the rest of the night), a terrifc game by JaJuan Johnson (28 points, 19 in the second half), even a last-quarter assault by Cantù which turner a seven-point deficit into a four-point lead. Olimpia played witrh heart and desire and won convincingly 78-71. Oliver Lafayette scored 18 points including the decisive field goals but Jamel McLean had another outstanding game in the paint and Bruno Cerella was sensational defensively and also had some great offensive plays in crucial situations. But overall Olimpia had a terrific collective effort in Cantù and conquered a much-deserved first-place in the standing.
