Jeremy Hazell became the Man of the Destiny for Pesaro that avoided relegation by beating Olimpia 90-79 off a commanding 33-point fourth quarter after the teams were tied up at 57 at the end of third. While Pesaro fought for its life, Olimpia was prepring itself for the imminent playoffs. Jamel McLean, Milan Macvan and Awudu Abass were rested nursing little injuries. Kaleb Tarczewski haad a double double but Milano struggled all night with turnovers, low shooting percentages and foul troubles. “When our attention level was high we led the game and had some beutiful moments – Coach Repesa said at the end – but when the attention disappeared we were bad, allowing too many open threes, easy baskets and we turned the ball over too much. Whatever problems we had with fouls or players missing, we had enough to overcome what’s going on. So Pesaro deserved to win”.
