Awudu Abass is the first one to understand that a big personal game in a loss doesn’t mean anything. But still… Like Coach Repesa said it’s important that the young guys were good and impressive against FC Barcelona, in spite of the final score. And nobody was better than Abass. In the second half his game was the game of a leader. His outing was great for a number of reasons: he set his personal bests in a lot of categories (minutes, points, defensive rebounds, index rating), he was unaffected by th tw misses free throws that could have set him back; his three dunks were not simply acts of athleticism to finish a break. He dunked by driving over the defense, through the defense, in traffic. He made shots. He was all over the floor. He set the tone to finish his EuroLeague season on a great note.
