In the end it was a free throw made by Riccardo Cervi to decide the outcome of a very close game in Reggio Emilia. Olimpia struggled early, went down by 13 in the second period than got back with an improved defense and a better-shooting offense. A couple times, the game looked to be in EA7 hands, late in the third and with three minutes to go after back-to-back threes made by Alessandro Gentile and Linas Kleiza. But anytime Olimpia looked in control, it had a letdown, Reggio Emilia got back in a matter of seconds and in the end it won the game 77-76. In the last minute, Gentile tied up the game from the line, then Cinciarini stole an offensive rebound giving Reggio Emilia one more chance to win. Cervi was fouled by Moss while trying to dunk with 0.92 seconds left. He missed the first but made the second. It’s the second league loss for Olimpia.
