Over the last three EuroLeague games, the ones played after the opener with CSKA, Malcolm Delaney has scored 39 points (13.0 per game on average), with almost four assists per game while converting 50.0 percent of his three-point shots, playing well on both ends of the court, applying great pressure on the opposing guards, making it difficult fort other teams to perform the pick and roll at a high level. In these last three games he’s always scored in double figures. Against Efes, he exceeded 1,500 career points. Delaney scored 334 points for Bayern Munich, 504 for Lokomotiv Kuban, 266 for Barcelona. In Milan, he has scored 409 points in 36 games, averaging 11.4 points per game. This is just his fifth EuroLeague season, because after making his debut in 2013/14, he spent a year in Eurocup in Kuban, two years in Atlanta in the NBA and another year in China. “We wanted to play pick and roll today – he said after the win -. I thought if I get into the paint and draw some attention, we can get open shots, and the guys made the shots today. We made the right plays. Defense is what we are trying to take pride in this year. We are trying to establish our identity, we want to be better defensively this year. If we don’t score sometimes, we still have something to fall back on, and we just played better defensively today.”  Delaney is also two steals away from 100 for his career.
